Fencing is fun! Fencing is good exercise! Fencing is a sport for a lifetime.
Whether you're 12, 20 or 60 you can learn, practice, compete or just socialize with great people.
Modern fencing is a martial art that is both challenging and safe. At its root, fencing is a combat between you and your opponent, requiring you to "touch" him or her with your weapon; however, today's fencing is a sport that emphasizes strategy, speed and safety.
The Conejo Fencing Club is a member of the Southern California Division of the United States Fencing Association (USFA).
The Conejo Fencing Club, located in Thousand Oaks, supports both recreational and competitive fencers. All levels of skill and all three weapons (foil, èpèe, and sabre) are taught and fenced at the club.
The latest news and updates about the club are posted on the News page. Information about class sessions and links to sign up are available on the Club page.
The next session is from November 22, 2014 - January 17, 2015. No official classes on November 29th, December 27th or January 3rd. Even when a session is not in progress, the club meets, so feel free to come on by if you have questions or just want to check it out!
If you're not sure if you'd like to sign up to fence, stop by on a Saturday to watch a lesson and talk to club members; we're happy to answer questions, and always ready to set someone new on the path to fencing!
