Greetings to All,
I was visiting Lausanne, Switzerland and noticed that the FIE was
headquartered here. So I decided to pay an unannounced visit ala
Michael Moore. The FIE office is located inside a non-discript
building which is at a nice location across the street from Lake
Geneva. The building has several sports organizations located
within it. All the windowless doors are closed and locked- high
security style. The only way to know that the FIE is behind a door
is by the small sign on the door. So I knocked on the door a couple
of times and I was lucky because Laura opened the door. I
explained who I was and told Claudia (on the left) and Laura (on
the right) about the Conejo Fencing Club including some of the
club's history. We are now on the Map. I had a nice visit and
we took several pictures. I forgot that my original plan was to
get the FIE to modify some of the rules to better fit my style of
fencing- ha ha fat chance of that happening. So I parted my
visit very politely and diplomatically. Miss all of you.

Due to an unexpected event at the park, there will BE NO FENCING on SATURDAY, JULY 25th.
The session will be extended to cover the missing class.
